REALVIZ is pleased to confirm, that UK-based Reichholdarts (www.reichholdarts.com) have used their award-winning photo stitching software, Stitcher Unlimited as a key tool for the creation of the stunning range of panoramic pictures which make up the ‘Connected Worlds’ exhibition, due to open simultaneously at London’s Royal Albert Hall and on Nokia's Second Life Island, ‘Mobility’ on 24. October 2007.
The 'Connected Worlds' project sponsored by Nokia Nseries, consists of two exhibitions - one 'real world' and one virtual. The duality of this approach aims to reflect the way in which images are being shared across the world today. Shot entirely by Henry Reichhold of Reichholdarts with the Nokia N95 multimedia computer, the project covers 9 cities across 5 continents, including London, Paris, Venice, New York, San Francisco, Sydney, Cape Town, Singapore and Hong Kong. The exhibition at the Royal Albert Hall is made up of a series of huge panoramic pictures, each created from a collage of many files. At up to 6 meters long, the images set out to challenge how we look at mobile phone imaging and create a vibrant panoramic portrait of the elements that make each city unique.
“Mobile phone imaging and panoramic images are my specialist areas,” explains Reichhold. “I’m at my happiest when both are combined! I am also very interested in web2.0 projects like Second Life. The advent of a mobile phone with a 5mp camera and a built in GPS system made it the ideal tool to explore the world with. The Nokia N95 fits neatly into your shirt pocket - you can stay in touch by phone and email, surf the net and you won’t get lost no matter where you are!”

60+ help create these giant images, as well as being a real time saver. Stitcher Unlimited is an absolutely essential tool for me. It’s easy to use, flexible and blends and equalizes the images beautifully. The main software tools I use are Stitcher Unlimited and Photoshop®. On the hardware side, the Nokia
N95 multimedia computer and an Epson P-5000 for mass storage on the go are a must.”
The ‘Connected Worlds’ exhibition can be viewed at London’s Royal Albert Hall from Wednesday 24. October 2007 until Tuesday 6. November 2007 when attending performances, or by visiting on one of the following free open
days: Saturday 27 October, 11.00am – 3.00pm or Saturday 3 November, 11.00am – 3.00pm.
