REALVIZ are delighted to confirm that WrightGeorge.com have selected Stitcher Unlimited for a series of 15 panoramic art pieces commissioned by Tempest Radford Art Consultancy for ‘Ventura’, P&O’s £300m superliner, which will have its maiden voyage in April 2008. WrightGeorge was formed in 2004, and is the collaborative panoramic photographic output of Matt Wright and Chris George, based in Newport, South Wales.
“We were delighted to receive our biggest commission to date in October last year from P&O Cruises to supply them with 15 unique photographic art pieces for their new superliner the 'Ventura',” explain Matt Wright and Chris George. “When she makes her maiden voyage in spring 2008, 'Ventura' will be the biggest liner ever built for the British market and the UK's largest ever floating art gallery. Our artwork will be part of a £1 million modern art collection, featuring specially commissioned works from 40 top British artists.”
“All of the final images are fully spherical panoramas and show the complete environment that they were taken in from one point in space. Nothing is left out unlike the normal imagery used to present and promote these locations, offering an uncompromised view on these highly documented spaces. Using specialist digital equipment 96 individual shots were taken for each image and then combined using REALVIZ Stitcher Unlimited.”
"The support offered to us by REALVIZ in 2007 has proved invaluable in the increasing scope and possibilities of our work as photospherical artists.
Stitcher Unlimited 5.6 has continually taken anything we have thrown at it and supplied us with outstanding results almost every time. Its improved functionality and ease of use has dramatically increased what we have been able to achieve visually and has helped with our workflow considerably. From personal experimentations to large commercial commissions, Stitcher Unlimited and REALVIZ themselves have been invaluable to us and we are proud to have their continued support and services."
