You can render your panorama in any of the desired formats and then convert them to any other desired format via the Panorama Conversion functionality built into Stitcher. Since version 5 you can find it by loading a Panorama (File – Load panorama) and then render it. Some projection methods are better for certain editing operations than others.
- If you wish to edit a complete panorama in one single image, make sure you render to Spherical projection, preferably in PSD layers format for maximum flexibility. Having the complete panorama in one image will facilitate heavy editing of panorama features and color correction. The drawback of this method is that the spherical projection introduces distortion into the results, so it may be difficult to perform certain operations such as adding a logo to the bottom of a panorama.
- For some operations, you may need to work on undistorted images. For these cases, use the Cubical projection. This will create 6 square shaped images with no distortion that are very easy to edit in terms of adding or taking away elements to the panorama, such as removing a building or adding a logo to the bottom of the panorama.
Once you are done editing your panoramic images, you can convert them back into your desired final format by loading the edited images into Stitcher’s Panorama Conversion utility and selecting the appropriate output format.
