How does Stitcher’s licensing system work?

Anytime Stitcher is installed on a new computer, it automatically generates a specific identification code for that computer, called a Hardware ID. This code is used to identify each individual system, and it will be supplied automatically when you need it.

It looks like this: QQTP4536AJAK7689 (characters will change for each computer).

When a customer purchases Stitcher, a Serial Number is given to the customer. The Serial number is used to identify each customer. It looks like this: A1BC-d2EF-Ghi3-Jk45 (characters will change for each customer). Please note that Serial Numbers are case-sensitive.

When the user follows the Activation procedure for Stitcher, this Hardware ID code is sent by the user to the license server together with the Serial Number, and a special Activation Key is generated according to both the Hardware ID and the Serial Number.

The Activation Key looks like this: Z0b+b88+a8PT8uen52rZHLjK0c98Mm/eYYkomtxWUf8 (43 characters)

Please note, that Activation Keys are case-sensitive and can contain special characters such as plus signs and forward slashes. The Activation Key is sent to the user, either automatically, if he has chosen the Online activation, either by email if he has chosen the Offline activation. In this case, he then places it into the appropriate field within the Stitcher Offline registration window. This activates Stitcher as the fully- fledged version of the application.
