Make sure you use the Unlimited version. This version handles fish-eye images perfectly. For fish-eye images with an angle greater than 180° (« 2 shot fish-eye »), you will need the DS option.
If you work with a prior version, you should know that the generic distortion correction model of Stitcher works fine with a focal length longer than 20mm. Below that you need to 'defish' your images first in an external software like Nikon Capture or DXO. For instance, a sigma or Peleng 8mm or a 10.5 mm Nikkor (equivalent to a 12.7 mm rectilinear) can be stitched easily, when defished, in Stitcher.
